"The Silver Field Trail

Veal Ta Prak is a grassy field in the middle of the jungle with a seasonal pond where wildlife such as Sambar deer and wild pigs can be seen. Great hornbills are common and you can be sure to hear gibbons calling throughout the forest. Trekking to Veal Ta Prak can be done directly from Chi Phat or combined with the Sunrise Bird Watching Tour.

The Mountain of Ancient Jars

The Jar Trail is a scenic trek that crosses jungle, rivers, and streams in a low mountain area (elevation up to 364m) that is also an elephant corridor. The trail is named after an important Ancient Burial site of clay jars and wooden coffins.

- 4 Days - 3 Nights: This more leisurely 57km trekking tour covers the entire Jar Trail, where you will visit O’Spott Bat Cave and Waterfall, Teuk Vet Waterfall, the Jar Site, and O’Malu waterfall. Nights will be spent at the O’Ampov (Sugar cane River), O’Peam Krovanh (Cardamom Tree River) and O’Malu (Betel Leaf River) campsites.

The Loom Stream Trail

O’Key Trail is a scenic and cultural trek that combines the opportunity to go through jungles and across streams in a gentle hilly area followed by a visit to the highland “chamkas” (remote agriculture settlements) in O’Key. Villagers from Chi Phat Commune are using the highly fertile red soil of the area to grow rice, bananas and other seasonal crops.
Trekkers have also the option to visit the Veal Ta Prak seasonal pond and wildlife viewing area.

O’Key Trail Options:

- 1 Day: This challenging 26km trekking tour takes you to O’Key village and O’Malu Waterfall where you will have lunch, relax, and swim if you wish, before returning to Chi Phat the same route. You can ask your guide to take you to visit the Reforestation Project on the way back if time permits. Challenging

- 2 Days - 1 Night: This tour includes 30km of trekking, visiting O’Key village and Veal Ta Prak pond. One night is spent at the Antea Preang campsite near Veal Ta Prak pond.

- 3 Days - 2 Nights: This more leisurely tour combines 43km of trekking and 18km of boating on a motor and traditional row boat. Your first destination is O’Key village and O’Malu Waterfall, where you spend the night. The following day you trek to Veal Ta Prak pond, with the second overnight at the beautiful Damnak Kos bird watching campsite. The third day you return to Chi Phat via the Stung Proat River by boat. The Grand Tours of Chi Phat

Half Day Tours

- Chi Phat’s Reforestation Project: A half day trekking tour takes you to visit Wildlife Alliance’s Tropical Reforestation Nursery about 7km from Chi Phat. The nursery at O Va Pong is replanting forest with native tropical tree species that was lost due to illegal logging. Here you can plant a tree ($5) and contribute to the conservation of the Cardamoms forests. You can stop on the way back at O’Khpos waterfall or Chhay Chrey rapids for a refreshing swim.

- O'Spott Bat Cave and waterfall: Only 6km one way this trekking tour takes you to O’Spott Bat cave and waterfall where you can visit the cave and swim in the waterfall.
